LacunoArch; Spring of 2007
Research conducted for Sanford Kwinter in the Spring of 2007. Theme: Fluid flow in trabecular bone structure and cross disciplinary parallels in contemporary architecture, such as the work of Reiser and Umemoto, Ove Arup and Diller, Scoffidio and Renfro. Research conducted in this paper was presented at the Solid States symposium at Columbia University by S. Kwinter, 10.03-05.08.

Form of Arch; Fall 2007
Form of Arch. explores the relationship between living and non-living entities. The hope is to outline a few rules that might apply to architecture’s place relative to living systems. Questions of active vs. passive, architecture’s uncanny otherings, and Agamben’s Form of Life are explored and opened to the context of architecture and temporary art installations.

Landscape/Ecology/Design; Spring 2008
This small collection of basically unfinished research threads attempts to answer some questions raised by the previous two explorations. A metaphor borrowed from Bio-engineering opens a door through which architecture might begin to rethink its role in the face of dynamic living systems. The exploration moves through a scalar gradient from the use of micro architectures in tissue engineering to urban scale infrastructure.

AnimaLandscape: Spring 2008
The most recent addition to this investigation continues from the urban scale of Landscape/Ecology/Design and begins to establish a moral and ethical framework for Landscape Urbanism. Relying heavily on the writings of Donna Harraway and Derrida, AnimaLandscape attempts to show that the multiplicity of ecosystems does not make them either unfathomable or killable.
